Gavin Silver DPT, Physical Therapist

Gavin joined the NY ORTHO PT team in August 2009 and works as a staff therapist. He graduated with honors from Binghamton University and went on to earn his Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the Graduate Center of New York.

Gavin completed a doctoral thesis which involved developing a functional milestone scale to monitor the progression of patients following spinal fusion. He worked as a personal trainer and interned at prestigiuos clinics. He worked with varied and diverse populations ranging from pediatric and geriatric patients to professional athletes. Gavin found his niche during his orthopedic affliations and decided to focus his efforts in this area.

Gavin utilizes a multifaceted approach to patient care which involves various manual therapy techniques coupled with postural and neuromuscular reeducation exercises. This helps restore anatomical balance while stressing the importanceof fundamental exercises.

Gavin is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
