Rocco M Racanelli, PA-C is a nationally certified physician assistant specializing in the field of orthopedics with a focus on sports medicine. Under the direction of Dr. Stephen Nicholas, Rocco is involved with many aspects of patient care including the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of orthopedic problems, interpretation of laboratory tests and radiographic studies, patient education and assisting at surgery.

Rocco received his undergraduate degree in athletic training and sports medicine at Hofstra University. While at Hofstra he worked with many of their athletic teams as well as the New York Islanders hockey club. He completed his physician assistant training at Saint Vincent's Catholic Medical Centers of New York.

Rocco has been involved with many youth sports institutions including the New York State Empire Games as well as local high school teams. He has participated in numerous research initiatives in sports medicine and is a guest lecturer at Pace University.
